About me

I believe therapy should feel real, human, and maybe even a little fun along the way. I’m a therapist—but also someone who loves watching live music, rewatching Will Ferrell movies, and hanging out with my little zoo at home—three cats and a dog. That same mix of humor, warmth, and grounded energy shows up in every session. I work with people who are exhausted from holding everything together—those who look fine on the outside but feel tangled, anxious, or disconnected inside. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and straightforward, with the occasional laugh to keep things real. I’m not a “just nod and listen” kind of therapist. We’ll roll up our sleeves, look at the patterns that keep you stuck, and build healthier ways of coping and connecting. I like to think of therapy as untangling a ball of yarn: we’ll find the knots, loosen them, and help you weave something new that actually fits your life. If you’re ready to stop running on autopilot and start feeling more grounded, hopeful, and in control, I’d love to work with you. Bring your story—we’ll make sense of it together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about getting to know you—what’s been feeling heavy, what you’ve already tried, and what you’d like to feel different. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a plan; we’ll figure things out together. Think of it as a relaxed conversation where you can just be yourself, not an interview or test you have to pass. My space is completely nonjudgmental, open, and curious. You can talk as much or as little as you want, take your time finding the right words, or just pause to breathe and think—it’s all okay. I’ll ask questions to understand your story and start noticing patterns that might be getting in your way. Therapy with me is a team effort. We’ll set goals together, find what actually works for you, and take small steps toward the life you want. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a better sense of what therapy will look like—and you’ll know you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll take it one step (and one knot) at a time.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is collaborative, practical, and rooted in genuine connection. I believe therapy works best when it feels like two real people having honest conversations—not a clinical checklist. I bring curiosity, humor, and compassion to every session because growth happens when you feel safe enough to be yourself. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based approaches to help clients build insight and action. You’ll learn tools for managing emotions, improving communication, setting boundaries, and reducing the mental chaos that can come from stress, anxiety, or past trauma. We’ll talk about what’s working, what’s not, and adjust as we go—because therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m real, easy to talk to, and focused on helping them make meaningful progress. My sessions are a mix of reflection, skill-building, and practical next steps you can actually use outside of therapy. You’ll leave each session with something tangible—a new perspective, a coping tool, or a sense of clarity. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable of handling life’s messiness with a little more peace (and maybe even a laugh or two).

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are ready to do the work—both in and outside of sessions. You might be feeling stuck, anxious, burnt out, or just tired of living life on autopilot. You’ve probably tried to “figure it out” on your own for a while, but you’re realizing that white-knuckling your way through isn’t working anymore. You want to understand yourself better, break old patterns, and start responding to life in ways that actually feel aligned with who you want to be. My ideal client is open to self-reflection, willing to be challenged with compassion, and motivated to practice new skills between sessions. I’ll bring warmth, humor, and practical tools to help you stay accountable and make real change. Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about doing. Whether you’re working on setting boundaries, managing emotions, healing from trauma, or finding balance in relationships, our work together will focus on helping you feel more grounded, capable, and connected. If you’re ready to stop circling the same problems and start creating real momentum in your life, I’m here to help you take that next step—with curiosity, courage, and maybe a little laughter along the way.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Being trauma-informed means I lead with empathy, not assumptions. I focus on creating a space that feels safe, predictable, and judgment-free—so you stay in control of your own story. My goal is to help you rebuild trust in yourself and move from “just surviving” to actually feeling safe, strong, and in control again.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is at the heart of how I help clients find balance—between accepting where you are and making changes that move you forward. I use DBT skills like mindfulness, emotion regulation, and boundary-setting to help you handle life’s curveballs with more confidence. Think of it as learning tools to stay steady, connected, and true to yourself—even when things get messy.

Strength-Based

I believe you already have strengths—even if they’re buried under stress or self-doubt—and part of my job is helping you find and use them. Strengths-based therapy keeps our focus on what’s working, not just what’s hard. Together, we’ll build on your resilience, creativity, and courage to help you feel more confident tackling whatever life throws your way.
