Hello! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have been practicing for 3 years as a psychotherapist and have had several years in the field as support staff. I help individuals process traumas and gain self motivation growth. I have a variety of experience working in different settings such as, public school settings, law enforcement agencies, restorative practices, and community based settings.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions so you get to know some of my background and experience. We will then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and potential goals. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having experience working with children and young adults has helped me find correlations between childhood trauma and transitional phases that have not been addressed. My extensive experience in multiple settings has shaped me into having an open mind and acquired empathy in all areas.
I am passionate about working with adults and couples that are eager to feel unstuck and see the bigger picture for themselves. My clients are eager to feel better and are looking forward to finding their motivation and their drive to choose themselves every day.
With attachment, I like to use self empowerment and boundaries. Most times when there is attachment involved, there’s a wound or historical traumatic event.
I like to use integrative therapy for the purpose of meeting my clients where they are. Integrative therapy gives us the opportunity to build rapport and while I like to have structured sessions, I also like to keep an open mind about the approach I use with each client.
With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, it is essential for the client to work towards thought processing and replacing negative thoughts with more positive thoughts. This is a process that I like to incorporate other methods with, such as narrative therapy.
I am passionate about using the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy when working with couples. These treatment methods help guide our sessions in being consistent and psychoeducational.
I like to use strength based when working with clients in self empowerment. This can help the client with self-worth, self-esteem, and self-love first.
