How can I HELP YOU? I am a Board Certified Telemental Health provider in the state of Georgia. I have worked in the mental health field for 17 years including within the dept of corrections, within community settings (including foster care and group homes) and private practice. I earned a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and a Doctorate Degree in Counseling Psychology, where I focused on counselor education and supervision. I enjoy working with a diverse array of clients. Aside from being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also an independent filmmaker. Just like in the movie world, I believe that everyone has a story and I am here to help you rewrite yours in a way that is meaningful and healthy!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I work with clients to create an individualized approach to addressing their goals. I do not use a one size fits all approach to therapy. Instead, I meet my clients where they are by working to understand their unique frame of reference. I educate, empower and encourage my clients to live their best lives, by learning how to be an active participate in their own lives!
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I believe that therapy is a road trip and my job is to gently guide you along. As an Adlerian counselor, I also use Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused based approaches, all while using a Client Centered approach to treatment.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength is that I am truly a people person. I am an advocate for your mental health. I believe in building strategic working alliances with clients from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
