My name is Richard Lenchner, LMFT and I have been a practicing therapist for over 30 years. I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University. I believe that everyone deserves a happy and healthy life. This can be achieved when you learn how to balance your life emotionally, spiritually, physically and mentally (ESPM).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Goals are an important aspect of the therapeutic process; they help to identify progress and the successes made in therapy. We work together to understand what you are hoping to achieve in the therapeutic process. We then identify and create realistic attainable goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach depends on the person I'm working with at the time. I tend to be straight forward, honest, open, direct and compassionate. I find by using analogies, I can help create more understanding and insight into past and current issues.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My focus is on adult individuals who struggle with addiction, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, codependency, motivation, self-esteem/worth issues and finding their balance in life. I also work with dancers, musicians, writers, and others in the entertainment and artistic industries.
