I am a licensed therapist with 21 years of experience specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strengths-based approaches. I work with clients who are ready to overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and self-esteem struggles. I help clients recognize and leverage their personal strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My goal is to empower each person to build resilience, gain confidence, and achieve a greater sense of well-being and balance. Through a collaborative and supportive approach, I guide clients to transform obstacles into opportunities for growth, equipping them with tools to thrive long after therapy ends.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and establish a foundation for therapy. We’ll focus on understanding concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about history, current challenges, and strengths, and we’ll begin exploring how therapy can help create meaningful change. During this session, you can expect: A warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where your story is heard. A discussion of your goals and what you hope to achieve in therapy. An explanation of my approach, including CBT, strengths-based strategies, and other tools that may be helpful for you. Time to address questions about the therapy process, confidentiality, and logistics. Collaboration to identify initial steps that can help you start feeling progress and clarity. The first session is about building trust, understanding your needs, and setting the stage for growth. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what you want to work on—therapy is a process, and this session is just the beginning of your journey toward positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring 21 years of experience using CBT and strengths-based approaches to help clients overcome challenges and achieve lasting change. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space, empowering clients to recognize their own strengths, build confidence, and develop practical strategies for growth. I work collaboratively to set meaningful goals and guide clients toward resilience, clarity, and well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with clients who are motivated to grow, self-reflect, and actively engage in their own change process. My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to explore their thoughts, behaviors, and strengths in a supportive, structured, and collaborative environment. I am especially equipped to serve: Adults experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress-related challenges, who are seeking practical tools and strategies to improve daily functioning and emotional resilience. Individuals navigating life transitions such as career changes, relationship challenges, or major life stressors, who want to harness their personal strengths to adapt and thrive. Clients struggling with self-esteem or confidence issues, who benefit from a strengths-focused, empowering approach. People who want a combination of structured, evidence-based interventions (CBT) and strengths-based growth strategies, allowing for both problem-solving and personal development. Those ready to build long-term coping skills and develop sustainable change in how they think, feel, and act. I am drawn to clients who are open to collaborative exploration, willing to engage with their own patterns, and motivated to leverage their inherent strengths. My approach creates a safe, supportive space where challenges are reframed as opportunities for growth, and clients leave with both insight and actionable strategies for lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With 21 years of experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I have extensive expertise in helping clients identify and modify unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this method, clients learn to recognize negative or distorted thinking, challenge these thoughts, and replace them with healthier, more balanced perspectives.

Strength-Based

I have focused on helping clients recognize, cultivate, and leverage their inherent strengths to achieve meaningful growth and change. Strengths-based therapy is a collaborative, client-centered approach that emphasizes what is working well in a person’s life rather than solely focusing on problems or deficits. It helps clients build resilience, confidence, and self-efficacy by identifying personal assets, resources, and coping strategies. In my practice, I have used strengths-based therapy to: Empower clients to recognize and utilize their existing skills and resources to overcome challenges. Enhance motivation and engagement by framing therapy around client goals and personal values. Support recovery and resilience for individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, or life transitions. Facilitate growth and personal development through strengths-focused interventions that complement other therapeutic approaches, including CBT and solution-focused techniques. Over two decades, I have applied this approach with diverse populations, tailoring interventions to each client’s unique circumstances. By fostering awareness of their own strengths, clients gain greater self-confidence, problem-solving abilities, and long-term well-being.
