New to Grow
Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a licensed therapist in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina who helps people feeling burned out, anxious, or stuck in survival mode reconnect with balance and purpose. Many of my clients come to me after feeling overwhelmed by work, relationships, or the constant pressure to keep going — even when they’re running on empty. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is compassionate and collaborative — I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools for stress, boundaries, and self-care that actually fit your life. Before starting my private practice, I worked in behavioral health settings supporting individuals living with substance use, bipolar disorder, and other chronic mental health conditions. That experience taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all — and that real change happens when therapy feels safe, personalized, and empowering. If you’re ready to move from burnout to balance, I’d love to help you take that next step.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current stressors, and what you’d like to work on, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once — we move at your pace. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about the steps ahead. Together, we’ll start creating a plan that supports your goals and helps you begin feeling more balanced and in control.
Clients often share that they feel safe, seen, and truly listened to in our sessions. I bring a calm, nonjudgmental presence that helps people open up at their own pace. I strive to create a supportive space where you can be honest about what you’re feeling without fear of criticism or the pressure to have it all together. As a licensed clinical social worker, I combine professional expertise with genuine compassion — helping you feel understood while guiding you toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for therapy to feel like a place where you can exhale, reflect, and begin to heal.
I work with busy professionals who feel burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients are high achievers or caregivers who give so much to others that there’s little left for themselves. Having gone through burnout myself, I understand how hard it can be to slow down and make space for your own needs. I help clients manage stress, anxiety, and mood challenges while learning to set boundaries, build healthier coping tools, and create a life that feels calmer and more sustainable.
I integrate DBT skills into my therapy practice by teaching clients practical tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness to support lasting behavioral and emotional change.
I use motivational interviewing in my therapy practice to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence, enhance their intrinsic motivation, and support meaningful, client-driven change.
I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy by helping clients identify their strengths, set clear goals, and build on past successes to create practical, future-oriented solutions.
I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard and validated, while reinforcing their coping strategies, self-esteem, and emotional resilience.
I practice trauma-informed care by creating a safe, respectful, and empowering environment that recognizes the impact of trauma, prioritizes client autonomy, and integrates an understanding of trauma into all aspects of treatment.
