New to Grow
My name is Nora Paparo and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from Fordham University. I specialize in working with people who are struggling to function in their day-to-day lives helping them build skills, find balance, regain stability and move toward a more fulfilling life. Together, we'll focus on creating small, meaningful changes that lead to lasting progress.
Clients can expect a safe and supportive environment for exploring their thoughts and feelings, where they'll receive insights into their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and collaborate on personalized treatment plans.
My approach to therapy is warm, direct and collaborative. I believe growth happens when clients feel supported and challenged, so I create a space where you can feel safe while also being encouraged to step outside your comfort zone. Together, we'll identify patterns, build new skills and work toward meaningful change.
I work best with adults and older adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, stress or severe mental illness. My clients are often looking for a mix of practical tools and genuine support. In our work together, I offer both structure and compassion, helping you feel heard while building skills that create real, lasting change in your life.
I utilize CBT to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and learn new ways of coping. In sessions, we work together to understand how thoughts, feeling and behaviors connect, and I provide practical tools you can use in everyday life.
I utilize DBT to support clients in building skills for managing emotions, improving relationships and handling stress in healthier ways. Together, we practice strategies like mindfulness, distress tolerance, and effective communication to feel more balanced and in control of your daily life.
I use Reality Therapy to help clients living with psychosis focus on building meaningful connections, strengthening awareness and working toward personal goals. This approach emphasized choice, responsibility and supportive relationships, while creating a safe place to explore experiences.
