New to Grow
I am a Clinical School Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting adolescents and their families within a large school district. Since 1999, my work has focused on helping families navigate crisis, strengthen relationships, and build the skills needed to move forward with confidence and stability. I approach this work with empathy, cultural humility, and a commitment to empowering both youth and caregivers.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I conduct a thorough psychosocial assessment that allows us to explore your emotional well-being, personal history, current stressors, strengths, and support systems. This helps me gain a clear picture of your experiences and what support will be most helpful for you. The session is collaborative and conversational, not an interrogation. You are encouraged to share at a pace that feels comfortable, and my role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and create a safe, supportive space. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discussing what you hope to gain from the process. By the end of the session, clients often report feeling more clarity, relief, and reassurance about next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and supported as we begin working toward meaningful and sustainable change.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to remain grounded, compassionate, and effective in moments of crisis. With over two decades of experience working in complex school and family systems, I bring a steady, reassuring presence while helping clients make sense of overwhelming emotions and situations. I combine deep clinical insight with practical, actionable strategies that support real change both in and outside of sessions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adolescents and adults who are ready to gain insight, build emotional resilience, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a crisis, or simply wanting to grow emotionally, I work best with clients who are open to reflection, skill-building, and personal growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts shape their emotions and behaviors, and to build the confidence to create meaningful change. Together, we work on reframing unhelpful patterns and developing practical tools that support resilience, clarity, and personal growth.
