Hi, I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I provide a safe, empathic, and validating space for clients to explore their inner world while also learning therapeutic skills to manage life’s challenges. My style is warm, authentic, and often sprinkled with humor. I’m passionate about helping clients better understand their emotional experiences and reconnect with what matters most to them. I also have a deep commitment to supporting underserved communities, including the Hispanic/Latino population. Whether we’re processing painful experiences or building practical tools, I aim to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. Therapy with me is not about fixing you—it’s about helping you connect more fully with yourself and your values, and finding a path forward that feels right for you.
In our first session, clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we explore what’s been going on in their life and what brought them to therapy. I’ll ask several questions regarding their history, current struggles, and what they’re hoping to work on all while holding an empathic, authentic stance. The goal is for the client to feel heard, safe, and to get a feel for whether I’m the right fit for them. It’s all about building trust and starting the journey at their pace.
I’d say my greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to create a warm, safe, explorative, and validating space. I also do my best to be emotionally attuned to each client’s emotional experience. I heavily emphasize the utilization of evidence-based approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and compassion-focused interventions, which helps me tailor practical skills to each person’s unique needs.
I primarily work with adult individuals experiencing self-esteem issues, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I can also be helpful to adults experiencing anger concerns, ife transitions, and stress-related issues.
I have been utilizing ACT interventions in combination with other therapy models (e.g., DBT, self-compassion) for several years. In session, you can expect to learn and practice various mindfulness exercises to help with managing various difficulties.
