Hi there! I'm Claudette. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and I am based in Texas. I have been working in mental health for the past 7 years. Life is a journey and that journey is different for each person. As a mental health provider, I am glad to go on this journey with you to help you discover answers to the questions and possible struggles. Mental health is a priority and sometimes we all could use a little help. My goal is to help my patients manage their symptoms while still living and enjoying life. It is your journey and I'm looking forward to joining you on it.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we can discuss the symptoms and reasons for the visit which will enable us to establish and build trust. You deserve a safe place to heal, grow, and feel validated with no judgement. We will work together to identify areas that are your strengths. Together we will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs with your long term and short term goals. Our follow up sessions will allow us to work on this plan or modify it as necessary because it is okay if things do not go as planned. The goal is to leave a session feeling like we made one step towards your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have developed techniques to help clients identify and recognize triggers, which enables us to develop individualized treatment plans. I provide understanding and genuineness every time you meet with me because I am always on your side. And it is important to understand that even if we deviate from a plan, that is not a set back, just a chance for us to start over again.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with adults, from young college students to the older more experienced adults. I enjoy helping them develop strategies and plans to improve their careers or adjust to unavoidable life changes.

My treatment methods

Supportive

We can use supportive therapy to form a therapeutic alliance that will help alleviate symptoms, improve self esteem, negative thinking, and reinforce the ability to cope with life challenges and stressors.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have seen CBT be very effective while in practice allowing patient to achieve good results. CBT is a helpful tool to help reorganize and reframe negative thoughts and negative thinking, which can help individuals cope with the stress and emotions of daily life.
