Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker in PA who has been working mental health care for over 25 years. I strive to be my best and treat all people with dignity and respect. I firmly believe that people deserve a safe space to express themselves and not feel judged. The world and our day to day can be tough but when someone feels supported, they can do anything. I am a strength-based therapist who will be honest and straightforward while providing you with resources to assist you in your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll star with getting to know one another and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing today. I will guide you but ultimately this is your time. We will work together to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in the profession for a lengthy amount of time, I value a person centered approach allowing you to guide your sessions but allowing me to identify challenges and push you to be able to see your strengths versus just what is causing you difficulty in the moment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am a strength based but also straight forward therapist who does not start with preconceived notions but instead I want to get to know you and what works best for you. Therapy is a process and should be approached as such. I am open minded, non-judgmental and willing to hear you

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I like to use this treatment modality for someone to be able to get to know and accept themselves especially when feeling lost and unsure of themselves. It builds confidence and acceptance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the basis of how we become conditioned to reactions and behaviors with our emotions in situations. Getting to know and understand your reactions allows for change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am certified in DBT. DBT and CBT can go hand in hand. it helps with being able to manage extreme emotions as well as tolerating distress in a way that creates less stress and more ability to enjoy being present. Using skills worksheets and a diary card allows for discussion of emotions and how the play into your everday life and circumstances.
