LPC, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello! I am Erika. I have worked with kids and young adults for about 10 years in various capacities and I am so happy to be expanding my work on this platform. I am a Midwesterner living in Arizona so kindness and compassion are in my blood. I experienced my own anxiety as a child and love that I get the opportunity to help others with their struggles and see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am a lover of all things nature, I am a cat lady, and I love to learn! I cannot wait to meet you!
Our first session is very relaxed and focuses around getting to know you! During this time I can answer any questions you have about the process or about myself and we will create some goals for your future.
I think being down to earth and genuinely wanting the best for my clients is what can stand out the most. I am willing to be flexible in my practices to assist with kids' attention spans, and I am flexible in modalities to ensure the patients' needs are being met.
My deal client is someone who is open and ready for the therapy process. I primarily practice with children and young adults but I have experience with people of all ages. I focus a lot of my full time work with symptoms like, anxiety, depression, panic, anger, loss, and attention deficit or impulsivity concerns.
I have completed many courses in this modality and utilize these methods in my daily life. I enjoy applying these skills in session to assist in understanding the relation our thinking can have to our experiences.
I treat every patient as an individual and enjoy exploring what works best for that person in their current situation. I enjoy having a space for people to come and have their feelings validated and respected.
Knowledge of our strengths can carry us farther than we think!
This is a newer method of treatment I have been implementing in my practice and I enjoy seeing how it supports relationships and family dynamics.
I have utilized this method for a few years and participated in a handful of trainings on how this is to be implemented. Acceptance of our symptoms is a step many do not consider but is very important!
