Hi, I am an LCSW with over 40 years of experience. I have worked with all age groups through the years and various human conditions. I love to hear peoples stories and help with anxiety and depression. I primarily focus on how automatic thoughts effect behavior and create our perspective on life. I also employ mindfulness techniques and motivational counseling .

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On our first meeting we will go through brief introductions and begin to explore your history and go over the goals you have for your treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having been a social worker for several decades makes me keenly aware of various human problems. I was first trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 30 years ago. This technique helps people become aware of their thoughts and actions and focus on what they can control. I have also been trained in trauma and many other mental health conditions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

At this time I work primarily with adults who are feeling stuck in their situations and are feeling anxious and/or depressed. We will explore the experiences that have led to your present situation and start to employ new techniques to reach your goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I first studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy 30 years ago. It is one of the most studied approaches with proven outcomes. I have found that getting down to the core thoughts that create our reactions and behaviors, is key to making wonderful changes.
