Hi there! I'm Jenhi, an LCSW in California. I'm a client-centered, culturally humble clinician who specializes in self-esteem building, women's issues, life transitions, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and trauma-informed care. My practice is supported by several years of both lived and professional experience working in diverse mental health practice settings, including schools, outpatient mental health clinics, a county behavioral health department, and private practice. I strive to provide therapy from an eclectic and humanistic approach, with a goal of helping people grow and find solutions to challenges, as the experts of their own lives. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my pets and family, reading, making art, and exploring the outdoors. I'm continuously striving to build my skills and clinical knowledge of evidence-based treatments to meet the needs of my clients, because I believe in the importance of collaboration and creativity in client-centered care.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together we will spend some time discussing what brings you to therapy and how your personal history relates to your healing journey. You'll have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the therapy process and we'll briefly discuss the goals you have for our work together. At the end of the session we'll discuss your availability and select an on-going time for us to meet for future sessions.

I love helping people find their own path towards healing themselves. I often use humor and creativity, and strive to create a space where people can freely explore their needs and struggles to identify the solutions that work best for them. People who work with me appreciate my non-judgmental and empathetic approach.

If you struggle with chronic self-doubt, feeling lost, or out of touch with who you believe yourself to be, I'd love to support you! Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, past trauma, and stress that impacts their relationship with themselves and contributes to the barriers they face in achieving their personal goals. Clients who work with me are often motivated to better understand themselves, to find solutions to their struggles, and improve how they show up in their lives and relationships.

As an LCSW, I strive to provide therapy from a Culturally Humble lens, to support clients with diverse cultural backgrounds who appreciate therapy that is not "one-size-fits-all." This type of therapy takes into consideration your unique cultural background and values and how these interact with the concerns you bring to therapy.

Therapy with me involves a focus on better understanding your core values, and how you can use mindfulness to embody those values and live a life worth living for you.

I believe that we have the innate capacity to heal and that we can use our own personal knowledge of ourselves to work towards this healing. Our work together will help you identify personal resources and strengths you can use on your path to healing.

As a Humanistic therapist, I approach therapy as a holistic process that empowers you to grow and access your individual potential. Therapy with me is "person-centered" and respects you as the expert of your own life.

As a Trauma Informed therapist, I strive to create a safe space for clients to process the impact that their past trauma has had on their life and current challenges. Our work will highlight your resilience, personal strengths, sense of safety, and opportunities for healing beyond your experiences with trauma.
