Taking the first step toward therapy is an act of courage and I commend you for being here. Life can feel overwhelming, especially when we’re just trying to meet our basic needs while navigating stress, anxiety, or emotional pian. I understand how difficult it can be to find balance and prioritize your mental health, especially when each day can feel so different. Some days are filled with hope, while others feel nearly impossible. My role as your therapist is not to offer a perfect life, but to help you develop the tools and resilience to face life’s challenges with confidence and self-compassion. I provide a safe and supportive space to explore feelings such as depression, anxiety, hopelessness, or emotional fatigue. My goal is to walk alongside you through your healing process wherever that journey takes us. I specialize in working with a wide range of clients, including children, adults, older adults, veterans, military families and individuals receiving short-term therapy thought Employee Assistance Programs ( EAPs). I use an integrative, personalized approach to therapy, recognizing that each individual brings unique experiences, needs and goals. My work draws from a psychodynamic foundation and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Behavioral Techniques and a deep understanding of intergenerational trauma. Change can be both empowering and unsettling, but you don’t have to do it alone. Together we will uncover what’s been holding you back and move toward the life you want to live. If you are ready to begin this journey, I invite you to reach out today.
In our first session together, the focus will be on getting to know you, your story, what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. You don't need to prepare anything or have all the answers. This is a space where you can speak freely and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I maintain a balance between being client centered and results driven. I prioritize creating a safe nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, while also using evidence based techniques to help them achieve measurable change. I draw from several modalities primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based approaches. I tailor my interventions based on the client's needs, often blending approaches to increase engagement and promote real world application.
I work with clients who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives, even if they are not sure exactly where to start. My ideal client is someone who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnect from themselves or others. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, past trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions or simply looking for more clarity and direction.
I have extensive experience providing therapeutic services across a range of populations, including adults, children, veterans and older adults. CBT is a core modality I use to help clients identify and challenge distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress. I guide clients in learning practical tools to reframe unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies and take actionable steps toward their goals. Whether I am working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or adjustment issues, I tailor CBT interventions to meet their unique needs and cultural context.
I have several years of experience working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, those struggling with substance use and individuals navigating major life transitions. Motivational interviewing is one of the foundational approaches I use to support clients who may feel ambivalent or uncertain about making changes in their lives. I use MI to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard and respected. Especially when the client is is not yet ready to take action. Through reflective listening, open ended questions, affirmations and summarizing, I help clients clarify their own goals and values, which strengthens their internal motivation.
I have experience working with individuals across a range of life circumstances, including those managing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and significant life transitions. Mindfulness Based Therapy is an integral part of my clinical approach, particularly when helping clients develop greater self awareness, emotional regulation and stress management skills. I use mindfulness based interventions to help clients learn how to stay grounded in the present moment rather than becoming overwhelmed by past regrets or future worries. This approach encourages clients to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment, which creates space for acceptance, clarity and intentional action.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including housing instability, trauma, mental health concerns and life transitions. Strength Based Therapy is a foundational approach I use in my work because it empowers clients to recognize their own resilience, capabilities and inner resources especially during times when they may feel overwhelmed or discouraged. I help client's identify what's working well in their lives, including personal strengths, past successes, values, skills, and support systems.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals and families navigating complex life challenges, including homelessness, trauma and mental health concerns. Solution Focused Brief Treatment is a practical, goal oriented approach I regularly use to help clients focus on solutions rather than problems especially when time limited support or crisis stabilization. I help clients identify small, meaningful steps they can take immediately to improve their situation. I use Solution Focused Brief Treatment to promote clarity, build hope and support rapid progress.
