Hi there, I'm Kourtney! Congratulations! You have officially taken the first step! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor who is passionate about the therapeutic process and am deeply committed to helping others achieve a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle while discovering and enriching the uniqueness of oneself. I’m very fortunate to have a career where I feel fulfilled and help create a positive change in others. I became a therapist to help others realize that we are all resilient beings capable of functioning better while working alongside life’s challenges. Based on my own experience as an adult, I too have had to learn the appropriate educational tools and coping skills to show up each day at my best …despite life’s hardships. My goal for every one of my clients is to learn different ways to cope with issues by identifying problems that are blocking growth. I strive to assist others on how to alter their ways of thinking and reacting to problems that occur in their lives. I show great effort in normalizing therapy so that we can heal ….as a whole. My therapeutic approach is unstructured, using real-life application along with an integrative approach encompassing Our first telehealth session will involve us getting to know each other. I will be learning about your social support, work or school life, family, hobbies, and any other organizations you are affiliated with. During this time, it is very important for me to create a safe space for you to share why you are seeking treatment and for us to build goals and practice strategies to help you reach your desired outcomes.

I have a special interest in providing a supportive, culturally competent, judgment-free environment, specifically tailored to the needs of my clients. I specialize in addressing anxiety, stress-related issues, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship and intimacy-related issues. I focus on skill building while beginning where you are as we work together to create a unique plan to enhance your strengths, meet your needs, and reach your goals. I strive to encourage and challenge others to be the best version of themselves.
