LPC, 20 years of experience
New to Grow
I have been a licensed therapist in private practice for nearly 20 years working with children, teens, and adults through a wide range of Life challenges. My experience includes helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, family and relationship issues, addiction, and career-related stress. I believe that therapy should be tailored to each individual and I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy to meet each client where they are. My goal is to create a supportive collaborative environment where clients can gain insight, build coping skills, and move toward lasting personal growth and emotional well-being
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll gather some background information and listen to what's bringing you to therapy. Together, we'll explore your goals and see if my approach feels like the right fit for you.
I bring warmth and compassion to my work and focus on creating a trusting, comfortable environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe that healing begins with connection and I strive to help clients feel supported as they explore challenges, build insight, and develop new ways of coping.
I work best with clients who are ready to explore what's holding them back whether that's anxiety, self-Doubt, past hurt or everyday stress. My clients often want to feel more grounded, confident and connected in their relationships and daily lives. Therapy is a space where we can uncover patterns, develop practical tools, and create lasting emotional growth.
My clinical training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I utilize this approach with clients who want to focus on how their thoughts imp;act their feelings and behavior and choices. We work together to modify maladaptive thoughts and replace them with more balanced healthier ones.
I work with clients to be more present focused in their lives by noticing their thoughts and outside influences but redirecting their focus back to one thing that can keep them grounded and in the present moment.
