Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I have been practicing for over 20 years. I work with young adults and adults dealing with the ups and downs of life. While my practice is a general one, I have special interests in relationships, health & wellness, and life transitions. I support clients with navigating life transitions and becoming their best self.
In our first session(s) together we will have an initial assessment and we will get to know each other. I will answer questions, gather information about your mental and physical health history. After that, we will discuss why you are coming to therapy and the challenges, changes or life transitions you are experiencing. We can then define your goals for therapy and develop a plan. This plan will guide our work together to address the initial issues you want to work on and what to focus on in future sessions.
My areas of strength are working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, occupational issues, and in transitional phases of life. My approach balances compassion while being direct. I offer empathy and challenge my clients to grow. I work with my clients to help set goals and build the tools, resources, and skills to meet them.
I have worked in the mental health field for over two decades. I enjoy working with adults and young adults transitioning into adulthood. I have worked in many different settings private, public and community. My wide range of experiences, training, skills, and background enables me to assist clients through the complexity of their lives with authenticity, respect, and integrity while providing a safe space and holding them accountable. I am a licensed marriage family therapist and licensed professional clinical counselor. I can help you with improving your relationship with yourself, your partner and other relationships in your life. I look forward to helping you walk through and navigate the ebbs and flows of life. I currently telehealth appointments. I have weekday and evening availability. Currently weekend and face-to-face appointment slots are full.
I have been using Eclectic therapy approach with my clients for many years. I find my clients benefit from the integrative and flexibility this method allows. Every client is different and moving through life we experience changes and new challenges that may call for different ways of working through them. In my eclectic work I often use psychodynamic, AEDP, and solutioned focused therapies. I use psychotherapy modalities that best fit my clients and the current challenge, goal, or transition being addressed. When I work with clients the approaches used are based on the needs of the client and the plan we develop together.
