Hello! I'm Tabitha Rupard, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate through life's challenges. I have dedicated my career to treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and a particular focus on women's issues. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, struggling with depression, battling substance abuse, or grappling with issues related to womanhood, I’m here to support you, offering the tools and guidance necessary to help you reclaim your life and your happiness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In a first therapy session, the focus is on establishing a strong therapeutic alliance and building rapport with the client. I start by creating a warm and welcoming environment help you feel at ease. We will be discussing your reasons for seeking therapy, exploring your concerns, and understanding your goals and expectations. I will actively listen, asks open-ended questions, and offers empathy to foster a safe space for you to share your experiences. Together, we will collaborate to set realistic and achievable goals for therapy, laying the foundation for a trusting and productive therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my deep sense of compassion, extensive experience, and non-judgmental attitude. My compassion allows me to truly understand and empathize with my clients, creating a safe and supportive space for them to open up and explore their vulnerabilities. My experience in the field has equipped me with a wide range of knowledge and skills to address various concerns effectively. Furthermore, my non-judgmental approach fosters an atmosphere of acceptance and understanding, encouraging clients to be honest and authentic in their therapeutic journey. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) since my time in graduate school and beyond. This modality allows me to work with you to help you recognize and challenge irrational thoughts and beliefs in order to help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and other mood dysregulation. Using this modality together we can work to improve self-esteem, and help you lead a happier, healthier life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-Centered therapy is the belief that you are the expert in your own life and already have within you the capability for problem-solving and healthy decision making. My role is to help you uncover and build upon those capabilities. In practicing Person-Centered therapy I offer a non-judgmental, unbiased, warm, and compassionate space for you to work towards meeting your goals.
