(he/him)
Hello, I’m Dr. Obaseki, DNP, a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with over seven years of diverse experience in the healthcare field. My specialty lies in comprehensive medication management for individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and PTSD. I am dedicated to serving patients across the lifespan—from children to older adults—offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My goal is to empower clients on their journey toward healing and emotional wellness, helping them reclaim balance, clarity, and a better quality of life.
In our first session together, we’ll begin with a warm introduction to help you feel comfortable and supported. From there, we’ll explore the specific challenges you're currently facing—whether emotional, behavioral, or situational—at a pace that feels right for you. I’ll conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which includes discussing your mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and any past treatments. This allows me to gain a full understanding of your needs and strengths. From there, we’ll collaborate on creating a personalized treatment plan that’s tailored specifically to you—focused on your goals, your values, and your journey toward healing. This first session is all about laying a foundation of trust and clarity, so you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to truly see each client as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms. I take pride in creating personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that are thoughtfully tailored to each individual’s unique experiences, needs, and goals. With over seven years of hands-on healthcare experience, I’ve learned that no two people heal the same way. My approach is rooted in active listening, empathy, and clinical precision, allowing me to design care strategies that not only address symptoms but also support lasting transformation. What sets me apart is my commitment to walking alongside my clients with both compassion and clarity—helping them feel empowered, heard, and supported every step of the way.
My ideal clients are individuals who are seeking clarity, stability, and practical support as they navigate life’s challenges. I’m best positioned to work with adults and young professionals dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, attention difficulties, or major life transitions. Many of the people I serve are balancing demanding responsibilities—career, school, or family—and are looking for a structured, solution-focused approach to feel more in control of their mental health. I work especially well with clients who are open to collaboration and willing to engage in the process, even if they’re unsure where to start. They don’t need to have everything figured out—just a willingness to reflect, communicate, and try small, meaningful changes. My approach is a good fit for those who appreciate clear guidance, education about their symptoms and treatment options, and a balance between emotional support and practical strategies. Many of my clients come in with goals such as improving mood and focus, reducing anxiety, building healthier routines, managing medications effectively, and developing coping skills they can use in everyday life. I also support individuals who are new to mental health care and may feel hesitant or overwhelmed, helping them feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. Overall, I’m best suited to serve clients who want a supportive, straightforward, and goal-oriented partnership—one that helps them move from feeling stuck or uncertain to more stable, confident, and empowered in their daily lives.
Supportive
As a mental health provider, my experience with supportive treatment focuses on helping patients feel heard, understood, and emotionally stabilized, especially during periods of stress or transition. I use this approach across a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment-related challenges, often alongside medication management when appropriate. My approach is grounded in active listening, empathy, and building a strong therapeutic alliance. I provide reassurance, practical guidance, and help patients strengthen coping skills while reinforcing their existing strengths. Rather than delving deeply into intensive psychotherapy, supportive treatment is centered on the present—helping patients navigate current stressors, improve functioning, and maintain stability. I also emphasize consistency, clear communication, and collaborative care, ensuring that patients feel safe, respected, and involved in their treatment decisions. The goal is to create a supportive environment where patients can regain confidence, develop resilience, and gradually move toward improved mental well-being.
