LPC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Sifting through the complexities of life is never easy, and it can be a relief to have someone walk alongside you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been working with clients for the past six years. I am also a husband and a father who has enjoyed seeing the unique process that happens when you meet regularly with a trained professional and do the intentional work of growth. As a lifelong learner, I look forward to engaging in that process together. When immediate support is needed, I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to offer practical skills and insights that bring quick relief. For those seeking deeper and lasting healing, I integrate depth psychology to explore how past experiences shape the present, creating space for clarity and intention moving forward. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling, because people aren’t statistics, they’re individuals. I’ve been fortunate to have people in my life who treated me that way, and it’s made all the difference. I’d be honored to do the same for you.
In our first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where I’ll get to know you and answer any questions you have. Together, we’ll explore what you hope to accomplish in therapy and set goals to guide our work moving forward.
I’ve been fortunate to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, which has exposed me to a wide range of challenges requiring flexibility, humility, and skill to navigate. I connect easily with people and genuinely enjoy doing so. I’ve also found deep meaning in this work and believe in the power of therapy - not just as a process, but as a space where relationships and vulnerability are the thing that spearhead change.
I work well with any clients that are open and willing to work, regardless of the pace. I've spent a large amount of time working with clients that have addiction challenges, depression, anxiety, trauma, spiritual issues, and family/relational conflict. I've worked with adults and families my entire career, so I look forward to continuing to connect with new individuals.
Exploring meaning and purpose has brought powerful outcomes in both my clients’ lives and my own. In therapy, slowing down to reflect on the past and present can help clarify the "why" behind life and guide the "how" moving forward.
Helping clients distinguish between distress tolerance and emotion regulation while defining mindfulness in their own way has been deeply rewarding. Through a dialectical approach, I support individuals in accepting themselves as they are while continuing to grow.
A life rooted in personal values is often a life well lived. Whether the challenge is trauma, family dynamics, or unhelpful thought patterns, helping people get ‘unstuck’ and reconnected with their values opens a true path forward.
