New to Grow
I’m Dr. Daren Waters, Sr., a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Coach, and Counselor who helps individuals and couples move from conflict to clarity and from pain to purpose. For over two decades, I’ve guided clients through restoration, identity, and alignment—creating safe spaces where they can be heard, valued, and renewed. My heart is to help people rediscover hope, rebuild trust, and experience lasting growth in every area of life.
Your first session is about slowing down, breathing, and creating space for honesty without judgment. We’ll talk about what’s been weighing on you, what you’ve tried so far, and what you truly want to change. I’ll listen deeply, help you find clarity, and outline a step-by-step plan for moving forward. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling seen, hopeful, and confident that healing is possible—because it is.
What sets my work apart is the ability to combine therapeutic insight with transformational coaching and spiritual wisdom. I bring years of experience serving military families, faith-based communities, and couples from all walks of life. My strength lies in helping people identify their core values, rebuild emotional safety, and move from survival to thriving. Every session is designed to empower lasting change—rooted in clarity, purpose, and restored connection.
I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck, disconnected from themselves, their partner, or their sense of purpose. Many of my clients are faith-minded professionals, service members, or families who have given so much to others that they’ve lost sight of their own voice. Whether they’re rebuilding after betrayal, struggling with communication, or seeking clarity in their next chapter, I help them restore identity, realign with their values, and rebuild relationships grounded in truth, compassion, and intentional growth. My approach blends practical tools with faith-integrated wisdom, guiding clients toward peace, connection, and freedom.
In my practice, I integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients move from problem-focused thinking to practical, values-based action. Drawing from years of experience working with individuals, couples, and military families, I use this method to highlight clients’ existing strengths and internal resources rather than their deficits. Sessions are goal-oriented and collaborative—helping people identify achievable steps that restore clarity, confidence, and hope.
My approach to couples counseling centers on restoring emotional safety, rebuilding trust, and improving communication between partners. I create a supportive environment where both individuals can be seen, heard, and valued while learning to express needs without blame. I help couples move from conflict to clarity, from disconnection to alignment with their shared values and purpose. The goal is not only to repair what’s broken but to strengthen the relationship’s foundation for lasting growth.
I integrate biblical wisdom with practical therapeutic tools to help clients align their emotional and relational health with their faith. I believe that true healing involves the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and that spiritual insight provides a foundation for lasting transformation. Using this approach, I help clients navigate challenges, restore hope, and rediscover peace through a client first agenda informed where appropriate by a Christ-centered perspective.
My faith-based counseling approach honors each person’s spiritual values while providing professional, evidence-based care. Whether clients come from a strong faith background or are simply open to spiritual principles, I create a safe and inclusive space to take the journey toward wholeness. By integrating faith, values, and psychological insight, I help individuals and couples reconnect to what matters most—restoring alignment between their beliefs, relationships, and daily lives.
