Hello, my name is Armando Rodriguez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Los Angeles, California. I obtained my Master's degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and have been practicing for 4 years. My focus is on helping clients from diverse backgrounds, with particular attention to individuals facing minority stress, PTSD, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and relationship problems, with an emphasis on cultural and sexual orientation and gender minorities.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a member of the LGBT community, I have personally experienced and witnessed the unique challenges and obstacles that individuals within our community often encounter.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, veterans, and individuals from sexual and gender minorities.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT, which focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My goal is to aid clients in restructuring their thought processes in order to confront their fears in a controlled manner and engage in activities that can improve their mood.

Psychodynamic

I provide client-centered and culturally sensitive psychodynamic therapy to assist individuals from diverse backgrounds in understanding their deep motivations, conflicts, and emotions that influence their behavior and mental well-being. My goal is to help people make significant personal growth and lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of psychological distress rather than simply managing symptoms.
