As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with two decades of experience, I specialize in helping adolescents and adults navigate addiction, mood disorders, and trauma. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Processing and Psychodynamic theory, tailored to meet your unique needs. Our work together begins with creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. In our initial sessions, we’ll build a strong therapeutic relationship and clarify your goals. From there, treatment will focus on addressing your immediate concerns while cultivating long-term resilience, emotional wellness, and insight into the deeper patterns that shape your life. Whether you're seeking relief, clarity, or transformation, I’m here to walk alongside you with expertise, empathy, and unwavering support.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is all about creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and heard. We'll begin by exploring what brings you to therapy and identifying the concerns you'd like to address. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and goals—always at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we’ll begin building a strong therapeutic relationship, which is the foundation for meaningful progress. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share what’s most important to you, and collaborate on a treatment plan that reflects your needs and values. Whether you're seeking relief, clarity, or long-term change, our first meeting is the starting point for a personalized journey toward healing and resilience.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a dual expertise in Mental Health and Substance Use. I don't just treat symptoms; I understand the complex interplay between addiction, mood disorders, trauma, and behavioral patterns. My training and experience position me as a rare clinician who can navigate both acute crises and long-term recovery. I do not rely on a single framework. Instead, I draw from CBT, DBT, MI, Somatic Experiencing and Psychodynamic theory to tailor treatment to each your needs. This flexibility allows me to meet you where you are—whether you need structure, insight, motivation, or emotional processing. Initial sessions are structured yet warm, designed to build trust quickly while establishing clear therapeutic goals. You will know what to expect, feel safe, and begin seeing progress early. I balance short-term symptom relief with long-term skill-building, helping you develop emotional resilience and insight into the deeper drivers of your distress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy supporting clients who are managing stress, anxiety, depression, mood disorders or complex mental health needs alongside addiction. I am particularly helpful for individuals who are ready to examine their patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping. A willingness to show up, even when therapy feels difficult, creates space for meaningful progress, self‑compassion, and long‑term emotional growth.
