I am a licensed mental health counselor with a background in health care. I primarily work with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues as well as, women in transition. Prior to pursuing my calling in mental health, I worked in the healthcare field. Both disciplines have provided extensive experience and have provided global personal/professional expertise in understanding the challenges faced both physically and emotionally by my clients and how to help them progress in healthy, positive, and productive ways.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My unique perspective in mental health counseling stems from a blend of personal and professional experiences. Having navigated childhood cancer, I feel I bring a profound sensitivity and empathy to understanding others' challenges. My transition into counseling later in life enriches my practice with a wealth of diverse life experiences and a deep well of resilience. Coupled with a background in healthcare, these qualities enable me to connect with and support clients on a deeply personal level. Many have found my approach both compassionate and informed.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By addressing cognitive distortions, CBT helps individuals develop healthier thinking habits and coping strategies. This approach is evidence-based and effective for treating a variety of conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Additionally, CBT equips people with practical skills that can improve their overall problem-solving abilities and emotional resilience, promoting long-term mental well-being.

Integrative

Integrative therapy combines techniques from various therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to an individual's unique needs. This flexibility allows for a more personalized and holistic approach, addressing diverse aspects of a person's mental health and well-being.
