New to Grow
I’m Moshe Wax, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own healing journey and a deep belief in people’s capacity for growth, resilience, and change. Experiencing therapy firsthand shaped not only my professional direction, but also how I show up with clients. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and safe to be yourself—without pressure or judgment. I believe therapy works best when it is both reflective and practical, offering insight alongside tools you can use in everyday life. I see therapy as a partnership guided by your goals, values, and pace.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on building trust, understanding your story, and identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic to you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—this is a space to slow down and start where you are. I believe progress happens through small, steady steps rather than quick fixes. Growth takes time, and ups and downs are a normal part of the process. I pay close attention to your strengths and progress, helping you recognize changes as they happen so they can become lasting.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is that I’ve been on the other side of the chair. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to seek help, and I bring that awareness into every session. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach that emphasizes authenticity, transparency, acceptance, and empathy. I take an eclectic and flexible approach to therapy, drawing from mindfulness-based practices, cognitive and behavioral strategies, emotion regulation work, nervous system–informed approaches, parenting frameworks, and guided imagery, depending on what best supports your goals. Clients often describe me as warm, caring, articulate, and genuinely curious.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with older teens, adults, seniors, and parents who are thoughtful, motivated, and open to self-reflection—even if they feel stuck or unsure where to begin. I’m a good fit for clients navigating stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger or emotional regulation challenges, relationship or communication difficulties, parenting concerns, life transitions, or patterns of neglecting their own self-care. Clients who benefit most from working with me value a collaborative relationship and a balance of insight and practical tools. My goal is to help you build awareness, confidence, and skills that support meaningful, lasting change beyond the therapy room.
