Hello, I’m Kathy. I’ve had the privilege of working in the social service field for more than 25 years and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012. I currently provide telehealth counseling throughout Missouri and also work within a local medical clinic offering mental health therapy and assessments. My experience has allowed me to work with people from all walks of life, and I truly enjoy helping individuals navigate life changes, manage stress, and build healthier relationships. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where you can explore your strengths, develop new skills, and create meaningful change at your own pace. In addition to my private practice, I also work within an institutional setting to prevent sexual violence by supporting individuals who have committed sexual harm. This work has deepened my understanding of accountability, resilience, and the capacity people have for growth and change. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take the next steps toward healing.
In our first session, we’ll take some time to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting connection. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll discuss your goals, explore any immediate concerns, and begin identifying the areas you’d like to focus on. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see if we’re a good fit. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can begin your journey toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding.
I strive to create a welcoming and relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Clients often describe me as easy to talk to, and I believe that a little humor—combined with empathy—can go a long way in helping us navigate life’s challenges together. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating; it can be a space for honesty, insight, and even lightness as you work toward growth and healing.
