Hi, I'm Morgan! I'm happy you're here and taking the next steps in caring for your mental health. By day, I am a K-12 Certified School Counselor. My role includes individual and group counseling, suicide and threat assessment, truancy counseling and intervention, and crisis response management. In addition, I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor. Outside of my work as a school counselor over the last 9 years, I have also worked with at-risk youth, worked in wraparound services for children with autism, and worked in outpatient therapy with children, teens, and adults.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In a first session with me, you can expect a lot of rapport building and just getting to know each other. I will ask for some background of what brings you to therapy and what your goals will be. We won't deep dive too much on the first day, but will certainly build the foundation to get there!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I feel my greatest strength as a provider is my rapport-building. I take great pride in building trust with my students and clients and creating an environment that is comfortable and conducive to counseling.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
As you see from my experience, the clientele I mainly serve are children and adolescents. However, I am happy to serve the adult population as well! I find that I work best with clients who take an active role in their counseling process and are truly open to taking steps to become their best self.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT has been my preferred treatment method since I've started my counseling career. I have worked with clients and students to help them better understand the connection between our cognitions and behaviors, identify negative thought patterns and behaviors, and reframe them into more positive experiences.
