About me

Welcome. I’m a licensed therapist and Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, loss, and major life transitions with compassion and care. Whether you’re coping with the death of a loved one, exploring your identity, or adjusting to a new stage of life, I offer a safe and affirming space where your story is honored and your healing can unfold. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based therapy, helping you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck while drawing on your natural resilience and inner strengths. I’m especially passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, offering an inclusive environment where all identities are welcomed and respected. Together, we’ll work toward healing, balance, and renewed meaning—at your pace and in your own way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a safe, welcoming space where we’ll get to know each other and begin building the foundation for your healing journey. I’ll gently ask about your background, including your experiences, current challenges, and what brought you to therapy. This helps me understand your unique story and how best to support you. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is simply the start of a collaborative process where your comfort and pace are respected. My goal is to listen with compassion and create a space where you feel heard, seen, and understood from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Compassion, empathy, and a deep readiness to listen are the cornerstones of my work as a therapist. I understand that coming to therapy often takes courage, and I honor that by creating a space where you can speak openly, feel fully accepted, and begin to heal. I listen not only to your words, but also to what lies beneath them—your emotions, your hopes, and the meaning behind your experiences. My goal is to walk alongside you with care and understanding, helping you uncover insight, self-compassion, and renewed strength. Through our work together, I hope you’ll feel empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are facing grief, identity exploration, or significant life transitions and are seeking a safe, affirming space to process their experiences. My ideal client may be coping with the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a shift in career or family dynamics. Others may be members of the LGBTQIA+ community navigating questions of authenticity, belonging, or self-acceptance. You may feel lost or disconnected right now, but you also have the capacity for resilience and renewal. In therapy, we’ll honor your story, explore your emotions without judgment, and build tools to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a CBT therapist I focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together we will learn how to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced and realistic perspectives. Through this process, you can gain greater awareness of how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions, and develop effective strategies for managing stress, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. In our work together, I’ll provide guidance, tools, and support as you build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in your daily life.

Attachment-based

In therapy, we explore your attachment patterns and work to create a safe, trusting environment where you can develop more secure and fulfilling connections. Through this process, you’ll build greater emotional awareness, resilience, and the ability to form healthy, supportive relationships in your life.

Strength-Based

In therapy, we’ll work together to recognize what’s already working in your life, celebrate your successes, and use these strengths as a foundation for growth and healing. This empowering approach supports you in overcoming obstacles, boosting self-confidence, and creating meaningful change that feels authentic and sustainable.

Gender-affirming therapy

I provide gender-affirming therapy that offers a safe, inclusive space for you to explore and express your authentic self. Whether you’re questioning your gender identity, navigating transition-related decisions, or seeking support around relationships and community, my approach is compassionate, informed, and centered on your unique journey. Together, we’ll build understanding, self-acceptance, and resilience as you move toward living in alignment with who you truly are. I have experience writing letters of recommendation and helping people navigate the health care system.

Grief Therapy

Grief can feel overwhelming and isolating, but healing is possible. As a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS), I provide a safe, supportive space to help you navigate your unique journey through loss. Using the TEAR Model—which focuses on Telling your story, Experiencing the pain, Adjusting to life without your loved one, and Reinvesting in new relationships and goals—we’ll work together to process your grief in a way that honors your feelings and promotes resilience.
