Starting therapy can feel vulnerable — sometimes even scary — but choosing to begin is already a powerful act of courage. I’m honored you’re here. My name is Oronde Yero, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma — experiences that can feel overwhelming, isolating, or hard to put into words. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to pretend, perform, or carry everything alone — a space where you feel safe, genuinely heard, and gradually empowered to understand yourself and move toward healing at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a relaxed conversation where you can share what brings you in at your own pace. My focus is to listen, understand, and help you feel comfortable and welcomed — not judged or rushed. We’ll briefly discuss what you’re hoping for and how we can work together in a way that feels supportive to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths are my ability to focus on creating a comfortable space where clients feel heard, helping them explore deeper insights about themselves, and supporting them in developing skills to make positive changes at their own pace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may be carrying a lot inside. They may currently carry stress, sadness, worry, or past hurts. They may be cautiously open to explore their inner experiences and work toward meaningful change at their own pace,in a supportive, and non-judgmental space.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides a structured, evidence-based framework that helps clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns driving emotional distress and maladaptive behavior. As a therapist, it allows me to offer practical tools clients can immediately apply, empowering them to build long-term coping skills rather than relying solely on insight or support.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy helps clients develop nonjudgmental awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations, reducing reactivity and increasing emotional regulation. As a therapist, it supports clients in learning to observe experiences rather than be overwhelmed by them, fostering acceptance, resilience, and present-moment stability.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care prioritizes emotional and physical safety by recognizing how past traumatic experiences shape a client’s behavior, coping patterns, and nervous system responses. As a therapist, it guides me to work collaboratively and gently, avoiding re-traumatization while empowering clients with choice, control, and trust throughout the healing process.
