New to Grow
I am a compassionate, client-centered therapist who believes that healing happens in the context of safety, trust, and genuine connection. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building practical skills they can use in daily life. My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each individual, recognizing that no two people experience challenges in the same way. I frequently integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of coping, while also incorporating elements of mindfulness, strengths-based interventions, and emotional regulation skills. I prioritize meeting clients where they are, moving at a pace that feels manageable, and creating space for clients to feel heard, validated, and empowered. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and family or relational stress. I value helping clients build insight, confidence, and resilience, and I strive to foster a therapeutic environment where clients feel supported as they work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share at your own pace. I’ll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and any past experiences with counseling. We’ll also discuss current stressors, strengths, and supports, and I’ll take time to answer any questions you have about the therapy process. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and talk about how we can work collaboratively to support your needs. You can expect the session to feel conversational, supportive, and nonjudgmental—there is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance I bring between emotional support and practical skill-building. I provide a warm, validating space where clients feel heard and understood, while also helping them develop concrete tools they can use outside of sessions. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I frequently integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and I support clients in learning how to challenge unhelpful patterns and build healthier coping strategies. Clients often report increased insight, improved emotional regulation, and greater confidence in managing stressors as therapy progresses.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, self-esteem or body image concerns, and difficulties related to life transitions or family stress. I work especially well with clients who may feel overwhelmed by their emotions, struggle with negative thought patterns, or are seeking practical tools to better understand themselves and cope more effectively. I am a good fit for clients who are open to collaboration and want a supportive, structured approach to therapy that balances emotional processing with skill-building. My goal is to help clients increase insight, build confidence, and develop coping strategies that support long-term emotional well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. In our work together, I support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem, and guide them in developing healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. I also focus on helping clients build practical skills they can use in everyday life. This may include learning coping strategies to manage overwhelming emotions, increasing awareness of behavioral patterns, and practicing new responses to challenges. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to each client’s needs, with an emphasis on creating meaningful, realistic changes that support long-term emotional well-being.
