New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in Indiana with a passion for helping individuals find healing and growth. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Southern New Hampshire University and my master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University, where I developed a strong foundation in both school-based and clinical practice. With licensure in both areas, I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma, using evidence-based approaches to create a safe, supportive space for change. My primary practice methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectial Behavioral Thearpy (DBT). I frequently maintain a strengths-based approach to encourage empowerment and self-determination. Faith-based approaches are welcomed upon request.
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll take time to go over your intake paperwork, talk through what brings you to therapy, and begin building a comfortable, trusting connection. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your story and what you hope to get out of our work together. From there, we’ll start setting goals and expectations that feel realistic and supportive. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — this is a space where we move at your pace, together.
My work is rooted in a client-centered approach, meaning your voice, values, and pace guide our sessions. I strive to create a space that is both supportive and inclusive, where you can explore your experiences through the lens that feels most authentic to you. In our work together, I aim to strike a gentle balance — offering comfort and understanding while also challenging you to grow, reflect, and move toward lasting change.
I’m best positioned to support young adults and individuals navigating seasons of transition, stress, or self-doubt. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected — wanting to better understand themselves and find a sense of peace and direction. Together, we work to manage anxiety, heal from trauma, and overcome depression through practical tools, self-compassion, and a focus on personal growth.
In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and problematic behaviors. Together, we identify core beliefs and cognitive distortions, then develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. I incorporate structured tools such as thought records, behavioral activation, and coping skill building to promote self-awareness and empower clients to make meaningful, lasting changes in their daily lives.
In my approach, I use psychodynamic principles to help clients explore how past experiences, early relationships, and unconscious patterns influence their current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through insight-oriented reflection and a strong therapeutic relationship, I support clients in understanding the root of their struggles, fostering greater self-awareness, emotional growth, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
I integrate trauma-informed principles into my work by creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients feel respected and in control of their healing process. I recognize the widespread impact of trauma and tailor treatment to avoid re-traumatization, emphasizing trust, collaboration, and choice. My approach focuses on building safety, emotional regulation, and resilience while helping clients reconnect with their strengths and sense of self.
