I focus on helping young and older adults cope with many forms of grief and loss. In addition, I aid adults with managing anxiety and depressive symptoms.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, we will spend a short period of time with introductions and highlighting the therapeutic process. Following this, we'll begin discussing what you're comfortable sharing around what brings you in for therapy and challenges arising for you. Upon getting to know you and what you are looking for in therapy, it will aid to develop the most appropriate treatment for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Most importantly, I ensure to create an atmosphere that allows individuals to feel safe and comfortable with opening up. I have a deep understanding around how vulnerable sharing intimate details of our lives can be.

My treatment methods

Grief Therapy

I have specialized in working with individual's experiencing many forms of grief and loss for the past five years. From the loss of a pet, to the loss of bodily function, to the passing of a loved one, I focus on processing these overwhelming and difficult feelings that arise and how to cope with this "new normal." Alongside with working with client's individually in therapy, I have two years of experience with facilitating a support group aiding those who are grieving a loss.

Strength-Based

I have been using a strength-based and person-centered approach for the entirety of my health and human services career of about 15 years. By focusing on and integrating one's strengths in the therapeutic process, it empowers one to see their own capabilities and aids to build resiliency. A person centered approach allows for the therapeutic process to be guided by each individual's unique strengths and needs.
