New to Grow
I have been practicing as a therapist for 7 years. I hold a Master's of Counselor Education and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I am fluent in trauma, anger management, and issues within childhood and adolescent but have experience treating a wide variety of clients and their concerns. I am direct but warm. I am passionate about validating the client's experiences and feelings. I look for ways to improve situations while focusing on self compassion and building upon one's strengths.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I meet clients where they are. I hold a warm and inviting space for clients to be themselves or learn how to be. My first session is all about getting to know my client. I ask questions about what makes them who they are, what their current worries are, and what their ideal situation looks like. This allows me to gain an understanding of how their problems may have started and what we can do, together, to resolve them.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am very understanding and encouraging. I strive to gain trust and maintain respect in my relationships with each of my clients. I help them learn more about who they are and ways they can improve or navigate their struggles. I believe therapy can be enjoyable and I take pride in creating a warm, accepting, safe place for clients to unpack their worries.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I want each of my clients to feel better than before they worked with me. I strive to lessen stress, manage emotions, set healthy boundaries, and help clients gain better understanding of how their experiences have shaped and affected their current behaviors and relationships.
Integrative
I fit my treatment method to my individual client's needs. I have experience in several treatment modalities and have found it is best to fuse bits and pieces from each together to create a unique and focused treatment plan for my client.
