I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor with 18 years of experience in the field. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and my Masters in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. My background includes working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges including stress, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, women’s issues, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, self-esteem, and life transitions. To best serve my clients, I focus my practice on individual counseling for adults and do not provide couples or family therapy.
In our first session, we’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to gain from therapy, and how we can work together toward your goals. You don’t need to have everything figured out — simply showing up with a willingness to explore is a powerful first step. This initial meeting is about getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, current concerns, and any previous counseling experiences. You’re also welcome to ask me anything — about my approach, what therapy might look like, or anything else on your mind. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported, and to help you decide if this feels like the right fit for you.
Healing begins in relationship—when we feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore life’s challenges at their own pace. My intention is to help you reconnect with your strengths, cultivate self-compassion, and feel more grounded in your journey. My approach integrates evidence-based practices with mindfulness, mind-body awareness, and strengths-based techniques to support whole-person healing. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs and goals. Through a collaborative partnership, we’ll uncover your inner resilience, build coping skills, and move toward greater clarity, balance, and empowerment.
My ideal clients are adults 25 and older who are experiencing life as generally stable yet feel ready for deeper insight, support, and growth. You may be navigating stress or anxiety, adjusting to life transitions such as career changes, relationships, identity shifts, or simply feeling “stuck” and wanting more clarity and balance in your life. In order to provide the best care possible, my practice is not structured to support those experiencing acute mental health crises, including active suicidality or frequent psychiatric hospitalizations. Individuals in need of a higher level of care may be better served by providers who specialize in intensive or crisis‑oriented treatment. Clients who benefit most from my work are those seeking ongoing, reflective outpatient therapy—individuals who are curious about themselves, motivated for change, and open to building skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and personal growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors. In our work together, I use CBT to support you in building practical tools for navigating challenges, improving emotional regulation, and fostering resilience. CBT is collaborative and goal oriented. Together, we’ll develop strategies that are tailored to your unique needs—whether that means tracking thought patterns, practicing new coping skills, or gently testing out new behaviors in a safe and supportive space.
Strength-Based
In my practice, I use a strengths-based approach that centers on each client’s existing resilience, capabilities, and inner resources—rather than dwelling on problems or perceived deficits. This perspective empowers individuals to recognize their inherent strengths and build upon past successes to enhance well-being, coping skills, and emotional resilience. Together, we may engage in strategies such as reframing negative self-talk into affirming, strength-based language; collaboratively setting goals that promote independence and align with personal values; and exploring personal narratives that highlight problem-solving abilities, perseverance, and growth.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy offers a gentle, empowering way to navigate life’s challenges by helping you stay present, grounded, and connected to yourself. Through simple practices like breath awareness, body scans, and compassionate reflection, you can learn to calm your nervous system, reduce anxiety and depression, and respond to stress with greater clarity and ease. Many clients find that mindfulness helps them sleep better, feel more emotionally balanced, and develop a kinder relationship with their thoughts and feelings. Over time, these practices can strengthen your ability to make intentional choices, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with what matters most.
