As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Professional Life Coach, I work with clients to help them develop coping skills to manage symptoms and improve their overall well-being. I believe in a personalized approach tailored to best treat and support each individual's needs and goals. I have extensive experience of 15+ years working with a variety of mental health conditions with children, teens and adults. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, women's issues and Racial Trauma emphasizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing modalities along with mindfulness strategies.
The first 2-3 sessions will begin with laying a foundation to build our collaborative relationship during which time we will get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit for what you are looking for. We will discuss your idea(s) about counseling and what your role and my role will be, your needs, desired outcome and how we can work together to get you to where you want to be.
I use a Person Centered approach along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused & Motivational Interviewing to engage clients. Additionally, I utilize artistic mediums such as drawing/painting, journaling/creative writing, collage and music to help clients access deeper layers of their mind/soul/spirit, in an effort to process emotions and gain valuable insights into their thoughts and feelings and to aid in improving communication.
I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist who engages clients with modalities that take the client's uniqueness into consideration for the best possible outcome. I work with clients (from age 6 years up through age 90 years) with needs ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationships & communication issues, as well as life transitions.
