New to Grow
If you’re here, you might be carrying more than you let on, and you’re looking for someone who can genuinely understand what that feels like. I’m Misty, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I meet you where you are, help you make sense of what’s going on internally, and walk with you as you find clarity and direction so you don’t have to navigate life's challenges on your own.
In our first session, we will have a conversation about what’s been happening in your life and how it has been affecting you. I’ll ask questions to better understand what you’ve been feeling and what your day-to-day looks like. This helps me get a clear picture of your experience and what may be contributing to your stress. More than anything, my hope is that you leave that first session feeling heard, supported, and truly seen as we begin our work together.
I bring a calm, grounding presence that helps you feel safe opening up, even when life feels heavy or uncertain. I’m skilled at breaking things down so they feel less overwhelming and easier to manage. I use evidence-based tools like CBT, mindfulness, and coping strategies that you can begin applying at your own pace. I value collaboration, meaning we work together to understand what you’re feeling, explore patterns that may be holding you back, and build confidence in the steps ahead.
I’m a good fit for clients who are feeling overwhelmed by the pace and pressure of everyday life, whether that's anxiety, chronic stress, navigating medical changes, caregiving responsibilities, or feeling weighed down by work demands. Many of the people I work with are juggling multiple responsibilities and trying to hold everything together on their own. If you're looking for a calm space to slow down, process what you're feeling, and learn strategies to move forward, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
I use CBT to help you notice unhelpful thinking patterns, understand how they impact your emotions, and explore healthier ways of responding to the challenges you're facing.
I use mindfulness to help you slow down and reconnect with the present moment, especially when life feels overwhelming. This can include grounding exercises, intentional breathing, or relaxation techniques that help you feel centered, calm, and in control during stressful moments.
I take a solution-focused approach to help you focus on your strengths and identify small changes that can make things feel more manageable.
