Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Colorado. I am licensed in Colorado and Texas. With 25 years of experience, I have helped many people build resilience in the face of life’s challenges. My goal is to support you in making meaningful changes that align with what matters most to you, helping you build resilience and move toward the life you want.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll start with a brief overview of the informed consent and disclosure forms so you know what to expect. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to counseling and what you’d like to work toward. I’ll also spend some time getting to know your history—this helps me understand your story and identify any patterns that may be showing up in your life now.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With 25 years of experience in the counseling field, I’ve learned that there’s not a one-size-fits-all approach to healing. What works well for one person might not be the right fit for another. That’s why I take time to understand your learning style, what tools or strategies might work best for you, and what has and hasn’t been helpful in the past—so we can set you up for meaningful progress. We’ll also consider how outside factors like sleep and nutrition may be impacting your mental health, since these areas often play a big role in your overall well-being and success in therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Do you feel like you’ve lost your sense of direction and aren’t sure which way to turn? Maybe you’ve always been able to navigate life’s roadblocks, but lately, everything feels overwhelming. Stress and anxiety are piling up, and your reactions feel unfamiliar—even to you. It’s disorienting, and you may feel stuck, unsure how to move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With over 25 years of counseling experience, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills as a practical and educational foundation. These tools help you better understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we'll use these skills to create healthier patterns that support your growth and well-being.

Christian Counseling

I offer Christian counseling for clients who wish to integrate Biblical principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches. With many years of experience working with both Christian and secular populations, I tailor our work to reflect your values and preferences.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I often use tools from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), along with CBT skills, to help you take a closer look at your thoughts and how they’re affecting your emotions and choices. These approaches make it easier to spot patterns that may be getting in your way and to replace them with more helpful ways of thinking.

Trauma Informed Care

Over the years, I’ve learned that real growth happens when your nervous system feels safe. When you're stuck in fight-or-flight mode, it's hard for your mind to process or make meaningful changes—no matter how effective the tools may be. I’ll work with you to find ways to calm and regulate your nervous system so that you're in a better place to heal, reflect, and move forward.

Mind-body approach

I take a holistic approach to healing, recognizing that mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are all deeply connected. As a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Specialist, I also help clients explore how nutrition can impact mood, energy, and overall well-being—from a mental health perspective that honors the whole person.
