PMHNP, 11 years of experience
Hi there! I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner passionate about helping women, academics, and busy professionals break free from depression, anxiety, and ADHD. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unfocused, or simply not like yourself, I’m here to help you feel calmer, clearer, more energized, and more in control of your life. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and proudly offer culturally competent, inclusive care—especially for people of color and those who appreciate a Christian-faith perspective. With dual board certification in psychiatry and primary care, a Doctorate from the University of North Florida, and over 10 years of experience, I bring both expertise and heart to every session. My approach is holistic, empowering, and collaborative. Together, we’ll build a personalized plan that may include medication management, supportive supplements, lab testing, and lifestyle changes. I love helping clients strengthen the mind–body connection and supporting goals around weight management, nutrition, and overall wellness. My aim is for you to feel balanced, confident, and aligned with your best self. As a solo practitioner, I’m fully present with the clients I’m meeting with. Because of this, I’m not available for phone calls during the day—but you can easily reach me through secure messaging on this platform or by email. I reply between sessions when I’m able and mainly after hours. To keep care ethical and focused, I don’t participate in disability evaluations or provide testimony for Social Security, insurance companies, employers, or attorneys. However, I’m always happy to provide copies of your session notes within 72 hours of your request. If you’re ready to feel better, rediscover your strengths, and create meaningful change, I’d love to walk alongside you on your journey.
Our first appointment will be about 60 minutes and is all about YOU. This is your space to share your story, talk through what you’ve been experiencing, and help me understand how your symptoms are affecting your daily life. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a full picture of your emotional, physical, and social well-being and to help identify what may be contributing to how you’re feeling. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and outline the areas we want to focus on. By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a personalized action plan—which may include medication options, supplements, recommended lab work, lifestyle strategies, and additional assessments to guide your care. My goal is for you to leave the appointment feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps in your healing.
As a first-generation American, Christian, wife, mother of two and pet owner, my own mental health experiences have shaped my approach to mental health. Balancing a career, family, and education, I understand all too well the daily pressures one can experience. Treating my own depression and social anxiety using traditional and holistic methods, has not only given me insight into caring for those with mental illness but also have more long lasting results. I believe in combining evidence-based treatments with a holistic approach to PROMOTE THE QUICKEST AND BEST RESULTS.
I’m especially well-suited to work with clients who feel depressed, anxious or have difficulty focusing. Many of the people I help are trying to juggle demanding careers or academic responsibilities while also managing family life—and feel stretched thin in the process. I work with individuals who are: • Struggling to balance work, school, and personal life • Feeling pulled in every direction • Navigating challenges in their relationships with a spouse, partner, or children • Constantly tired, losing interest in things they once enjoyed • Having trouble focusing or staying motivated • Feeling stuck even after trying therapy alone Many people lose parts of themselves when they enter relationships, become parents, or dive into school or a career. My goal is to help you reconnect with your true self—who you are outside of your roles, responsibilities, and expectations—and support you in creating a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and authentically yours.
Integrative psychiatry looks at the whole person, not just symptoms. I combine evidence-based treatments like medication and therapy with holistic tools such as nutrition, supplements, exercise, and mindfulness, helping you achieve balance, mental wellness, and overall well-being. Having navigated my own mental health challenges, I understand firsthand the value of combining these approaches to create meaningful, lasting change.

Dr. English is superior at what she does. She doesn’t just take care of the issue that you’re dealing with, but she also takes care of your entire body as a whole, as your body can be part of the issue too!
