I’m Alice, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, my goals are to empower patients, help people optimize their mental health, and provide appropriate pharmacologic and therapeutic treatment options. I come to you with nine years of experience managing mental health diagnoses. Navigating the complex balance of work, life, family, societal pressures, and the world today is stressful - I have seen this firsthand in many of my patients. Additionally, the access to good mental health care in this country is lacking. I am here to try to help you close that gap and help my clients actually receive the treatment they need. My experience is especially focused on women. Whether you are struggling with generalized anxiety, post-partum anxiety, panic attacks, depression, difficulty with concentration, insomnia, or a difficult relationship with food or your body, please know you are not alone. Help is available and I am here to be a part of that help.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we will start with brief introductions then dive in to what has brought you to seek help. The very first session is an intake session where I will also be obtaining a detailed history about you (medical, social, psychiatric, family) in order to best tailor the treatment plan to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a nurse practitioner I bring many years of experience in medication management. Having a background in primary care as well, I have a unique understanding about the interplay of mental health and physical health.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, OCD, Women's Issues, Post-Partum Anxiety and Depression, Eating Disorders, ADHD

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

I seek to provide education for clients regarding the pathophysiology behind some of their symptoms as well as evidence based support, often in the form of medication management. Providing information that allows individuals to better understand their symptoms often yields improvement in their ability to manage them. I emphasis client empowerment that they are capable, knowledgeable, and deserving of help.
