Hello there, I'm Heidi. My calling for the past 7 years has been to help young adults who have experienced trauma or major life transitions. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and self-esteem. You deserve to be heard and safe while you begin to heal and grow from the struggles and obstacles you have faced. Together, we will explore what is not working for you, and help you find ways to cope, manage, and restore balance to your life. My approach draws on your strengths, evidence-based techniques, and providing helpful resources for you. I'm here to meet you where you are and work at your pace. Let's work alongside one another to meet your goals!
In our first session, we will spend time building rapport and I will ask questions about the specific areas of focus/goals you would like to work on in future therapy sessions.
My biggest strengths as a therapist are providing support and compassion for you. I am here to take the sessions at your pace, building upon the strengths you already have in the work you are wanting to explore.
I use this approach to help provide awareness to thoughts, feelings, and responses to how the trauma impacted the client. I also explore mindfulness and self-compassion practices to provide self-care and coping skills when flashbacks and triggers emerge.
Explore family origin, current relationship patterns/dynamics with others to gain a deeper understanding of self and attachments with others.
