Whether through meditation, words, or movement, I am ready to help you move you through “this” into the next phase of your life. Most of my social work career was in the case management area, so problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, setting and knocking down goals is a favorite approach of mine. I’m also a certified, trained yoga and meditation instructor, and reiki master, so I also am able to incorporate eastern philosophy into our work together. Whatever the approach, we are in this together. “This” could be depression, anxiety, transitions, loss, life. Let me help guide you to find your strengths, embrace your innate resiliency, and reach your best you. With the combination of various healing processes, we will work together with respect and compassion to develop the tools to get you to where you want to be.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will be different from the rest - getting to know you, expectation-setting, and setting long-term goals for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have a warm, empathetic, compassionate, and eclectic approach. I enjoy learning new therapeutic approaches and incorporating them into my work with clients. I am wide open to feedback, and adaptable to client's needs and preferences, according to my scope of practice and knowledge.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with young adults and adults who feel ready to make changes in their lives. Concerns and goals I am ready to work with you together on: veteran/military concerns, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, postpartum concerns, and life changes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

Develop healthier sleep hygiene behaviors and change unhelpful thought patterns related to sleep.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Identify core beliefs that are negatively impacting your thoughts, actions, and emotions, and develop strategies to change them.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Provide psychoeducation on the DBT skills, and work with clients to apply them to their lives in order to improve the ability to manage difficult emotions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

As a yoga and meditation instructor, I think that mindfulness practices are a great place to start for anyone who is having trouble getting started in therapy; a way to get to know your current state by tapping into the present moment.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this to support individuals struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders, but also with anyone who is experiencing difficulty with decision-making and life changes.
