New to Grow
Hello, I'm Diana. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy and will be here to help you with exploring and understanding feelings, relationships and experiences you may need more support around. I hope to help you unravel your thoughts and emotions, to promote further self-awareness, and develop healthier coping mechanisms to live a more sustainable and fruitful quality of life. As a 1st generation Asian American, I am here to also help individuals navigate the complexities of cross-cultural relationships. Whether you’re balancing different traditions, values, or communication styles, I provide a supportive space to explore identity, belonging, and connection. My approach honors cultural diversity while focusing on building understanding and resilience. Grief, illness, and loss touch every part of our lives, often leaving us feeling isolated or overwhelmed. I work with clients to process these experiences with compassion, helping them find meaning, healing, and strength in the midst of change. Together, we can create space for sorrow, hope, and perhaps gratitude.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
We can start with introductions and expectations then can discuss challenges and goals. If we both feel we are the right match, we can explore where you would like to see yourself in the next 6 months. This will give me an opportunity to get to know you better, as well as things that you would like to work on throughout our sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am committed to meeting you where you are at and working on a feasible plan that you are comfortable with. I offer empathy, a safe space, and some humor when creating a therapeutic relationship with someone.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am in the best position to serve those who are starting therapy for the first time, who either want someone to listen and offer a different perspective as needed as well as someone who wants support around creating solutions and taking the necessary steps to achieve those goals. If you prefer therapy support for up to 6 months or so. I specialize working with populations who are 2nd generation children of immigrants and/or refugees, older adults, Asian Americans, and those adjusting to illness, and those who are experiencing any type of grief.
Psychodynamic
Understanding your childhood and adolescence upbringing and relationships may make it helpful to understand who you are today
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Bringing together mindfulness, acceptance and values will help shape up goals you would like to reach
Grief Therapy
Have my personal experience with grief and losing loved ones as well as with patients and families in a hospital setting including the ICU. Giving the opportunity and safe space for others to grieve can truly be a gift and much needed to process the challenging and difficult feelings during that time.
