New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with young adults and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and challenges. I understand how overwhelming it can feel when patterns from the past continue to show up in the present, or when you feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. My approach is grounded in attachment and trauma-informed care. My preferred modalities include Brainspotting, ACT, relational approaches, and mindfulness-based practices. I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, build emotional regulation skills, and create more secure and fulfilling relationships. I also have a background in veterinary social work and support individuals experiencing animal-related grief and loss, as well as the complex emotional impact of caring for a sick or aging pet. I recognize how significant these relationships are and provide a space where that bond is deeply respected. I am also LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.
I take a collaborative approach, focusing on creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and not judged. Building trust and rapport is a priority, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll also begin identifying your goals and exploring what approaches may be most helpful, so you leave with a clearer sense of direction and support.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to approach therapy through an intersectional framework. I recognize that each person’s experience is shaped by multiple aspects of identity, culture, relationships, and larger systems and I want to understand and honor that to the best of my ability. I bring a balance of warmth and curiosity into the therapeutic relationship. I aim to be attuned to you, both emotionally and relationally. I help clients build insight while also developing practical tools for coping, regulation, and change. I value collaboration and see therapy as a shared process, where your voice and experiences guide the work we do together. I have a sensitivity and interest in the experiences of second-generation individuals and children of immigrants, including navigating bicultural identity, intergenerational expectations, and the emotional impact of cultural and family role differences.
I’m best positioned to support individuals who are ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process and are seeking meaningful change in their lives. My ideal client may be navigating the impacts of trauma, managing ongoing life stressors, or moving through significant transitions such as changes in identity, relationships, or life roles. I work especially well with clients who are open to going beyond just talking about their experiences and are curious about how trauma and stress show up in the body. I integrate somatic informed and body-based approaches to help clients build awareness of their nervous system, develop regulation skills, and process experiences in a way that feels grounding and sustainable. I also specialize in working with those experiencing pet loss, animal-related grief, and the complex emotional bonds we form with animals. This includes anticipatory grief, caregiver fatigue, and bereavement following the loss of a beloved pet. Many of the clients I work best with are insightful, motivated, and open to exploring both the past and present to better understand themselves. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—but have a desire to process their experiences, build coping skills, and move toward a more grounded, intentional life. I enjoy working with individuals who are curious about their patterns, open to building self-awareness, and willing to collaborate in a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and authenticity.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is less about elimination of painful thoughts and feelings, and more about building a life that feels genuinely meaningful to you. Together, we’ll dig deep into what truly matters to you — your values, your hopes, the kind of person you want to be — and work toward that, even when life feels hard. Our work is collaborative and relational; you won’t feel like you’re being handed a workbook and a checklist. Instead, we’ll think through things together, with curiosity and without judgment.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a body-based approach that helps you process experiences that can be hard to reach through talk therapy. In our work together, you lead the way — we follow what feels right to you, at your own pace. I see my role as a calm, steady presence alongside you as your mind and body do their natural healing work. I am currently trained in Phases 1 & 2 and working towards certification.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
My background is in iRest (Integrative Restoration) as a Level 1 teacher and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), both of which offer practical, grounded tools for working with stress, difficult emotions, and the deeper questions of what it means to feel at home in yourself. Like everything I do, this work is relational — we explore it together, at a pace that feels right for you.
