New to Grow
I am Dr. LaTinna Belcher, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and families find balance, healing, and hope. I support clients who are navigating stress, anxiety, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space where clients can build coping skills, gain clarity, and feel empowered to move forward with confidence.
In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you, understand your concerns, and learn about your goals for therapy. You can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported. Together, we will begin exploring what brings you to therapy and identify the first small steps toward progress. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear sense of direction and know that you don’t have to face challenges alone.
My greatest strengths are my ability to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly heard, understood, and respected. I combine compassion with evidence-based strategies, helping clients not only process their challenges but also take practical steps toward growth. I specialize in guiding clients to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and find balance in the midst of stress. Clients often share that my approach feels warm, nonjudgmental, and empowering, allowing them to leave sessions with both clarity and actionable tools for change.
My ideal clients are individuals who feel overwhelmed by the demands of daily life and are seeking practical tools to manage stress, strengthen relationships, and improve emotional well-being. They are open to personal growth, value a supportive space for reflection, and are motivated to create positive changes in their lives. Many are parents, professionals, or caregivers who want to regain balance while caring for themselves and their loved ones.
I use Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) to help clients identify their existing strengths and resources while focusing on practical solutions rather than remaining stuck in problems. In my practice, I guide clients to clarify their goals, highlight what is already working, and build small, realistic steps toward positive change. This approach empowers clients by shifting attention to possibilities and progress, which supports motivation and resilience.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to distress. Together, we work on building healthier coping skills, reframing negative thinking, and practicing new behaviors that support emotional balance and personal growth. This approach is structured, goal-oriented, and effective for managing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress.
