About me

With over four years of experience in the mental health field, I am dedicated to helping individuals from all walks of life unlock their potential and create the changes they seek. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have had the privilege of working with a broad spectrum of clients across various age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, which has deepened my understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face at different stages of life. Whether you are an adolescent facing challenges at school or in relationships, an adult navigating life transitions, or a family seeking support, I am here to help you build resilience, manage stress, and move toward the change you want in your life. Together, we will work toward creating lasting positive changes and helping you live a fulfilling, empowered life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions typically involve review of intake paperwork and various mood screenings to gauge overall depth of problem areas. Time will be spent getting to know each other and learn more about how we can help each other grow.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I prioritize creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, where clients of all ages feel comfortable expressing themselves. Whether you’re a young adult navigating new life challenges or an older individual seeking support for past trauma, I offer the same level of care, understanding, and validation. I tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual, taking into consideration their age, life experiences, and personal goals. My experience spans across children, adolescents, and adults, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit various developmental stages and life circumstances. I utilize research-supported therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care, which can be effectively applied to clients across age groups. These methods are proven to help individuals build coping skills, manage stress, and improve mental health. I remain committed to ongoing education and professional development to ensure I am providing the most current and effective treatment strategies to my clients. This allows me to stay responsive to the evolving needs of individuals and families I work with.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is useful in both exploring and altering negative thought patterns and behaviors, so we can live more functional and healthy lives. By exploring connections between our thoughts and behavior, we can be more aware to make healthier choices and improve.

EMDR

I have been recently trained and receive ongoing consultation for EMDR treatment. EMDR is an exciting approach to help individuals with reprocessing traumatic/ difficult memories that continue to affect their daily functioning. This method is used in pair with bilateral stimulation, usually in the form of the client tapping a part of their body or following hand signals with their eyes. While not entirely understood why, EMDR is effective in reducing distress from 'hot' traumatic memories.
