Hello I'm Carol Kimbrough. My experience includes employment within multiple social services settings for more than 20 years. Which include case management, intake specialist and mental health therapist. I will be able to provide Telehealth services which provides my clients the opportunity to engage in therapy in your own comfortable environment. If you choose, I also offer in person therapy services in an office setting. I'm committed to working with others on the goals they want to achieve to improve their daily living. I will provide you with the most exceptional care in a compassionate and authentic manner. Therapy is not a quick fix but I'm willing to assist my clients on their journey of healing. I named my agency Path to Tranquility Counseling Services because I'm willing to walk the path with you in order to gain peace, tranquility and wellness for your life. The goal is that my clients feel an overall satisfaction with the positive changes that may have occurred through the therapy process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have assisted clients with anxiety and depression symptoms while they may have been experiencing different transitions of life they have found difficult.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is completed at an in- person office setting. EMDR employs techniques to navigate traumatic memories, offering a precise/holistic approach to facilitate adaptive resolution and change. EMDR utilizes a set of techniques to guide individuals through processing/resolution of traumatic experiences. These are designed to address the impact of distressing memories on both the cognitive and emotional levels, offering a comprehensive method for individuals lingering effects of trauma. I will use bilateral stimulation, creating a mental safe space, and employing cognitive interweaves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a kind of talk therapy that can help people manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns. CBT is goal oriented and structured to address depression anxiety, grief, and stress.
