Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida, also licensed to serve clients in Georgia. With 7 years of experience and a Master's degree from Saint Leo University, I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, stress, and overwhelming feelings. My approach integrates Attachment Theory and cognitive-behavioral principles to create a supportive space where you can process difficult experiences and build practical coping strategies. I'm particularly passionate about working with veterans, active duty military, first responders, and cancer survivors—populations I feel honored to serve.
In our first session, we'll start with introductions so you can get a sense of who I am and how I work. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy and the challenges you're currently facing, and I'll also want to hear about your strengths and what's already working in your life. Together, we'll discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and begin creating a plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. I'll also cover important information like confidentiality, what to expect from our work together, and answer any questions you have about the process. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, hopeful, and clear about the path forward.
As a trauma-informed clinician, I specialize in helping adults navigate trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and the overwhelming stress that life can bring. I'm trained in evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which means we'll use proven methods tailored to your specific needs. My approach is structured and directive—I won't just listen passively; I'll actively collaborate with you to identify concrete goals and practical strategies you can use right away. Many of my clients appreciate that we focus on building resilience and moving forward while also honoring and processing the past. You'll leave sessions with tools you can actually use. I have specialized experience working with veterans, first responders, and cancer survivors, and I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to supporting anyone facing significant life challenges. Whether you're dealing with traumatic experiences, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you not just cope, but truly thrive. You'll find a therapist who understands the weight of what you're carrying—and who's committed to helping you find your path forward.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely utilized approach in therapy practice that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is grounded in the idea that our thoughts influence our emotions and actions, and that changing negative thought patterns can lead to improved emotional well-being. In my therapy practice, CBT is typically implemented through structured sessions where clients work with me to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach used to treat individuals experiencing distress as a result of past traumatic events. In therapy practice, EMDR aims to help individuals process traumatic memories and associated negative beliefs, emotions, and physical sensations.

Courtney has a different approach than other providers I've worked with. She is not afraid to be direct and point out her observations. In my opinion that is very helpful because it gives me something to reflect on if I havent' already acknowledged or recognized it myself.
