Hi, I’m Ali—a licensed therapist passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe to be themselves and work toward meaningful goals. My approach blends evidence-based therapies like CBT and DBT with a person-centered foundation, always meeting clients where they are. I have extensive experience working in schools, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient settings, which helps me support clients through transitions, emotional struggles, and everyday stressors. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, school or work stress, identity exploration, or relationship issues, I’m here to help you feel more empowered and connected to yourself.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other and creating a comfortable space where you feel heard and supported. I’ll spend some time gathering background information—what brought you to therapy, any relevant personal or family history, and what areas of your life feel challenging right now. We’ll also begin to talk about your hopes for therapy and explore some potential goals you’d like to work toward. These goals are completely based on what matters most to you. This session is not only about information gathering—it’s also a chance for us to connect, see how we feel working together, and begin building a foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to build strong, authentic relationships with clients, meet them where they are, and help them feel truly seen and heard. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a sense of humor into the therapy space while maintaining clear boundaries and a supportive structure. My background in both school settings and clinical programs allows me to offer practical, developmentally appropriate strategies for managing emotions, navigating transitions, and building executive functioning skills. I'm especially skilled at helping clients connect the dots between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can make empowered choices and move toward lasting change.
I’m best positioned to support adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, anxiety, school or work stress, and relationship issues. With a background in both school-based counseling and clinical settings, I understand the pressures teens and young adults face—especially around identity, self-esteem, and major milestones like starting high school, heading to college, or stepping into adulthood. I also enjoy working with adults who are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, helping them reconnect with their values and goals. I provide a warm, collaborative space to build insight, develop coping skills, and move forward with confidence.
For many clients, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.
When appropriate, I incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy interpersonal relationships.
At the heart of my work is a Person-Centered foundation. I aim to meet each client where they are and move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful to them. I see therapy as a partnership built on trust, curiosity, and compassion—and I strive to ensure every client feels seen, supported, and encouraged as they work toward greater emotional well-being.
