LMHC, 15 years of experience
Currently, I am working most closely with cancer/psycho-oncology clients. This is a personal passion of mine, as I want to share, support, and learn from others going through medical diagnosis, treatment, and after-care. I have over two decades of experience in various communities and cross-cultural work, both locally and globally. I am passionate about joining people where they are and walking with them along the way, using holistic, process-oriented, meaning-making, trauma-informed, and brain-based modalities.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, your best hopes and outcomes from our talking, and the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work together in future follow-up sessions.
I am understanding, empathic, peaceful, and wise. I have a heart for people and care enough to be the change I want to see in the world.
Curious, honest, open, willing to engage the uncomfortable while holding true to self and others in the health and healing process from a holistic perspective. Willing to see the good, beautiful, and kind that is all around us along with the sad, hard, and broken. Specializing in serving cancer/psycho-oncology clients.
Grief and loss are a real part of life and must be processed well in order to live a life that is to the full, even when trauma-impacted. My work is about holding both grief and joy in perspective as we navigate our narratives - the stories we tell ourselves are true and live into. Giving ourselves permission to experience all of life and integrating our awareness of how it shapes us in the process.
I have unconditional positive regard for each person and the value they add to their environment and relationships just by showing up authentically and honestly YOU.
I am brain-based and trauma-informed in my approach with every client, knowing that the brain and the body keep the score on our woundedness and finding ways to regulate, de-escalate, and relate that calm the brain and reconnect us to Self and Other is vital along the way. I use active listening and reflecting to raise awareness of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual parts of you that are transformational, not just informational.
